Jacksonville, FL (August 10, 2018) – A Jacksonville woman was killed in a serious wrong-way crash that took place on the Hart Bridge in Jacksonville. Kelsey Elizabeth Nalette lost her life in the serious incident.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nalette was headed north in the southbound lanes on the bridge in her Jeep Wrangler. She collided head-on with a Nissan that was coming in the correct direction.
Nalette died from her injuries at the scene. The driver of the Nissan was identified as 28-year-old Joshua Brooks, and he was hospitalized with critical injuries.
The collision was the second deadly wrong-way crash that took place on the bridge in less than a week’s time.
There were over 400,000 serious accidents in 2017 across the entire Sunshine State. Many people will lose their lives in these accidents while thousands more will receive serious and life-changing injuries.
