A deadly Marion County crash ended with the taking of one life on County Road 315. At the time of the accident, 72-year-old Janice Carter was traveling south on the roadway and began veering toward the east for unknown reasons. She left the travel lane with her vehicle.
The vehicle continued onward along a sloped grassy shoulder, which caused the vehicle to strike a tree. Carter was dead at the scene when paramedics arrived. Many witnesses said that the vehicle crossed right in front of them and was lucky to evade an accident.
