On Sunday, Jereima Bustamante, the spokeswoman for Governor Rick Scott, died in a boat crash in the Florida Keys. She was expected to work on his U.S. Senate campaign. The 33-year-old is deemed an ‘amazing woman’ and a ‘terrific and selfless person’ by many people around her.
She was one of four people who were on an 18-foot Maverick center console vessel that was near the Whale Harbor Channel when it hit a group of mangrove trees. She was taken to the hospital in another vessel, but she, unfortunately, didn’t survive due to her injuries. Many others were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries after the crash.
In Florida, boat accidents happen in our waters every year. It’s important to have an attorney stand by your side and defend your rights if you believe an accident took place due to negligence. Call us at Rubenstein Law for more information.
