A crash is still being investigated that took the life of 50-year-old Joseph Crews, a National Guardsman, early Sunday morning. The accident took place when Crews was driving his 1996 Ford Mustang on County Road 229 in Baker County when he suddenly lost control and crashed into a tree down an exit ramp embankment.
Crews was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol is not sure what caused him to lose control. At the time of the accident, he was on the way to base with the 125th Fighter Wing.
