25-year-old Kevin Valentine was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruz last week in Levy County, as it was reported, with 23-year-old Kathryn Deas in his vehicle. He was southbound on Northwest 102nd Place while negotiating a curve. However, for reasons that are still unclear, he traveled off the roadway.
From there, the vehicle traveled onto the western shoulder from the left curve and collided with a tree. The car was immediately engulfed in flames. The vehicle then rotated clockwise when it came to a final stop against the tree.
Both the driver and passenger pronounced dead at the scene. The story was not released until today while next-of-kin was being notified.
