Lake Alfred, FL (January 30, 2021) - Police and rescue workers responded to a car accident in Lake Alfred on Friday, January 29th. The accident took place around 5:15 a.m. on Highway 557 at Polk City Road.
When officials arrived, they discovered the serious accident and immediately began re-routing traffic near the scene. There were injuries reported as a result of this crash, however, at this time there is no word on the condition of the injured victims. The cause of the collision has not been revealed. Delays were expected in the area for a substantial period of time and motorists were advised to avoid the scene and find an alternate route.
No further information has been released at this time.
