Lake City, FL (May 27, 2021) - A man pushing his bicycle on U.S. 27 was killed when he was hit by a car on Wednesday, May 26th. The accident took place just after 9:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the roadway.
Police say that the deceased victim was a male. His name and age have not been released at this time. There were two women in the vehicle, a 64-year-old and a 77-year-old woman. Neither woman was injured in the crash. The crash is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol and it is unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
