Lake Worth, FL (April 7, 2019) - A 50-year-old bicyclist died while trying to cross the road in Lake Worth on Saturday, April 6th. The crash took place on Hypoluxo Road just after 8:00 p.m.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, David Guerero attempted to ride his bicycle across Hypoluxo when he was struck by a 2014 BMW that was oncoming in his direction of travel. The force of the crash caused Guerero to be thrown from his bike. After being ejected, he struck the car's windshield before being thrown off onto the ground. Guerero was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.
This accident remains under investigation.
