Lake Worth, FL (September 13, 2018) - New information is coming out regarding a plane crash that happened in Lake Worth on Sunday, September 9th. Both Philip Castranova and his wife, Mandy Castranova, were killed in the crash.
Records from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) show that Philip Castranova's pilot license was revoked in 1997 following a misrepresentation made on a medical application. Prior to that, his pilot's license was revoked for 180 days due to failure to listen to air traffic controllers and operating an airplane in a reckless manner. Local flight instructor Robert Katz said that this is the most egregious case of law breaking that he has encountered during his professional career.
The NTSB is still investigating at this time and expects to have an initial report on the crash within a week.
Our thoughts are with the Castranova family as they struggle through this terrible tragedy.
