Land O'Lakes, FL (August 22, 2021) - Police in Land O'Lakes responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, August 22nd. The accident occurred on State Road 52.
The Flordia Highway Patrol arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred. According to a report, two cars were traveling westbound when one of the drivers tried to pass the other vehicle. While the driver was passing, her car struck the rear-end of the second vehicle. The woman's vehicle left the road and struck a concrete culvert. She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers have not identified the victims at this time.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing. There is no further information available.
