A Lantana semi crash sent 1 person to a hospital yesterday morning. The crash involved a pickup truck and a semi, which happened around 6:00 in the morning south of the Lantana Road exit. It occurred when the truck crashed into the median. The crash caused pieces of cement to fly from the median onto the highway, which caused the pickup truck to spiral out of control.
Because of the crash, both the northbound and southbound lanes were stalled for quite some time while the scene was cleaned up. This caused major delays to many since it happened during the morning rush hour, keeping people from arriving at work on time.
It is too early for them to determine if drivers will face charges in the accident and who actually caused the accident.
Accidents involving semi trucks can be extremely deadly or cause serious injuries, as these trucks are much larger than other vehicles you find on the roadways.
