Lauderdale Lakes, FL (October 7, 2019) - Two cars were involved in a crash that took place in Lauderdale Lakes on Monday, October 7th. The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Northwest 18th Street near Northwest 36th Avenue.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, a red Chevrolet was involved in a rear-end crash with a utility truck. Both cars burst into flames following the impact. The driver of the Chevrolet was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The utility truck driver escaped unharmed. Firefighters at the scene worked for about 10 minutes to extinguish the fire. The deceased victim has not been identified at this time.
