Lauderdale Lakes, FL (December 3, 2019) - A 49-year-old woman was killed when she was T-boned at an intersection in Lauderdale Lakes on Sunday, December 1st. The crash took place on State Road 7 around 3:43 a.m.
According to reports, Tandy McNealy-White was on her way to a friend's birthday party when she attempted to make a left turn onto State Road 7. McNealy-White's Mercedes Benz was T-boned by a white Ford Mustang, driven by 28-year-old Bob LaFrance. The two cars collided causing the Mercedes to roll onto its roof. The Mustang went off the road and crashed into a tree. McNealy-White died as a result of her injuries. LaFrance was taken to Broward Health North in critical condition.
The Broward Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. There is no word on whether any charges are expected and an investigation is ongoing at this time.
Deadly accidents are reported daily in Florida. In fact, a fatal crash takes place about once every three hours. Many fatal accidents occur due to the negligence of a motorist. Even a single act of negligence can result in deadly consequences for others on the roadway.
