Lee County, FL (August 6, 2019) - A man from Alva was killed after being hit by a car on Palm Beach Boulevard. The crash took place on Tuesday, August 6th.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Troopers say that 35-year-old Michael Alterma was walking on the roadway when he was hit by a 2003 Honda Civic, which was driven by 45-year-old Darrius Harden. The Civic was in the inside land of the road when the crash took place. Alterma died at the crash scene. The accident caused several lanes of the roadway to be shut down.
