Leesburg, FL (May 27, 2021) - A 47-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Leesburg on Wednesday. The accident was reported on Montclair Drive near Lone Oak Drive.
According to police, 47-year-old Joseph McMurrey was riding on Lone Oak when he was hit by a car. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car fled the scene but was later located by police. He has been identified as 35-year-old Pierre Lambaren Resendez. Resendez is facing hit-and-run charges for his role in the crash.
