Lehigh Acres, FL (October 29, 2019) - A 15-year-old girl suffered injuries after being struck near a bus stop in Lehigh Acres on Monday, October 28th. The accident occurred around 6:25 a.m. on 8th Street SW.
According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, the driver was traveling westbound on 8th Street when a school bus slowed down to make a stop. As the driver approached the bus, he struck the girl who was approaching to board. The girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Golisano Children's Hospital for treatment. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
