Lehigh Acres, FL (March 13, 2021) - A landscaper working near the road was killed in a pedestrian crash in Lehigh Acres on Saturday. The incident took place on State Road 82 near Bell Boulevard and Eisenhower Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man from Clewiston was hit by an SUV that was traveling in the inside lane of the roadway. The victim, a 68-year-old man from Clewiston, was working inside dashed lane dividers in a construction area. The pedestrian died at the accident scene. The driver of the SUV was identified as a 37-year-old man from Cape Coral. There is no word at this time on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
