Lehigh Acres, FL (March 10, 2021) - Two children were taken to the hospital after a school bus crash in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday. The collision took place around 8:00 a.m. on Pine Cove Drive at the intersection with Jaguar Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 43-year-old woman from Lehigh Acres was traveling northbound on Pine Cove when she came to a stop sign at the intersection. The woman failed to stop and collided with a school bus that was carrying 13 students. Two of the students were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending at this time.
