A 72-year-old woman from Ft. Myers by the name of Margaret Palmerfheim is still being treated for critical injuries after she was involved in a crash yesterday. The crash happened when she pulled into the path of a semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 32 and a bypass.
Margaret was immediately airlifted following the accident. She received broken bones and heart injuries. Her husband, 86-year-old Thomas Palmerfheim, was also in the vehicle at the time and suffered cuts. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The truck driver did not have any injuries.
