Marion County, FL (October 5, 2019) - A pedestrian was killed in a crash along US 441 in Marion County. The crash happened on Friday, October 4th around 7:30 p.m.
According to initial reports, the man was walking northbound on 441 when he was struck by a Ford Escape. Following the crash, the man was propelled into the median of the roadway. Rescue workers arrived and pronounced him dead at the crash scene. The driver of the Escape was not hurt. The pedestrian has not been identified at this time.
The crash remains under investigation and no further details have been released.
