Marion County, FL (March 28, 2021) - Police in Marion County responded to the scene of a two-car accident on Saturday night. The incident happened on SW 80th Avenue near the intersection with SW 90th Street.
According to reports, a 63-year-old man was making a turn across the northbound lane of SW 80th Avenue. As the man completed his turn, his car was T-boned by a car that was traveling across the northbound lanes. The man's vehicle then left the roadway and struck a utility pole before coming to rest. He was rushed to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the other car was seriously injured. No one involved in the crash has been identified.
