Marion County, FL (August 28, 2019) - A 70-year-old man was killed in a crash between three vehicles in Marion County, Florida. The crash took place on Tuesday, August 27th around 3:45 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene at State Road 40 and SE 189th Avenue. A police investigation revealed that 56-year-old Bambilynn Kathleen Stewart was driving a 2008 Cadillac SRX when she crashed into the back of Silver Saturn. The Saturn was propelled into traffic, where it struck a big rig. The Saturn driver, who has not been identified, later died at Ocala Regional Hospital. No one else was hurt in the accident.
Troopers are actively investigating the accident. Charges are pending against the driver of the Cadillac at this time.
