Miami Beach, FL (November 23, 2019) - A car slammed into a home in Miami Beach leaving an occupant of the home injured. The crash took place around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd.
Police responded to the home on Northeast Eighth Avenue near 160th Terrace shortly after the collision occurred. According to reports, a woman was asleep inside the home when the car crashed through the residence and came inside, trapping the woman underneath the rubble. Rescue workers were able to get the woman out of the home after approximately an hour and she was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The woman has not been identified at this time. Police say that the driver fled on foot following the crash. It is not known whether the driver has been apprehended at this time.
