Miami-Dade County, FL (February 10, 2019) - A crash in Miami-Dade County claimed one life and left another person hurt on Saturday, February 10th. The crash took place in Ives Estates, located in northeast Miami-Dade County.
Officers were called to the intersection of Ives Dairy Road and Northeast 10th Avenue in reference to a two-car crash. After investigation, it was determined that a Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on Northeast 10th Avenue when it attempted to make a left turn. That is when the truck collided with an eastbound Dodge Challenger on Ives Dairy Road. The Challenger struck a traffic light post and a palm tree, before breaking in half. The driver of the Challenger died in the collision.
The truck driver was rushed to Aventura Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition. Those involved in the accident have not been identified as police continue to investigate.
