Miami, FL (April 16, 2021) - A man was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday in Miami. The collision took place around 8:30 p.m. on Southwest Eighth Avenue near the intersection with Seventh Street.
The Miami Police Department responded to the crash scene along with fire rescue personnel. According to reports, a man in his 30s was walking on Southwest Eighth Avenue when he was hit by a car. The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. The victim was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center. His injuries include the loss of his leg. There is no information on the suspect vehicle at this time.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing. No further details are available.
