Miami, FL (May 19, 2021) - Three people were taken to a hospital after a crash that took place in Miami on Wednesday. The accident was reported at approximately 5:15 a.m. along Interstate 95 near Northwest 103rd Street.
According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety, the Road Ranger was in an express lane on the left side of the highway and was clear a prior crash scene when it was hit by a Tesla. The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the two occupants of the Road Ranger to Jackson North Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tesla was transported with severe but non-life-threatening injuries. The Road Ranger had traffic cones and emergency lights flashing at the time of the incident.
The crash is under investigation at this time. The identities of those involved have not been released. There is no additional information available.
According to statistics, about 250,000 people were victims of Florida injury accidents in 2019. A very large majority of all Florida car accidents are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. These drivers choose to speed, drive while distracted, driving under the influence of alcohol, and other careless behaviors. All of these actions can lead to injuries for innocent victims.
