Miami, FL - Three People, Including Officer, Hospitalized in Miami Crash

Miami, FL (November 2, 2018) - Three people, including a police officer, are in the hospital following a crash in Miami. The crash took place on Thursday, November 1st.
The Miami-Dade Police along with Miami Fire Rescue responded to the crash scene at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and 36th Street. When officials arrived, they located all three injured victims and transported them to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One of the victims is identified as a police officer. There is no word at this time on the extent of the injuries involved or the cause of the collision.
Traffic in the area was affected by the wreck as motorists were advised to avoid the area while it was shut down due to the crash investigation. No additional information is available at this time.

A bicyclist was hospitalized following a collision with a car. The incident took place late Thursday night on Back Beach Road, near R. Jackson Boulevard. Around 10:00 pm, police received a call in reference to a car vs. bicycle collision.
Clay County, FL - One Dead in Four Car Crash
One person died in a four crash in Clay County on Sunday, October 21st. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Nathan Schmidt was the crash victim. Around 8:01 pm, a 2002 Ford Explorer traveling southbound on Jefferson Avenue struck Schmidt's vehicle from behind. The crash caused an ensuing chain reaction collision in which Schmidt's car hit two other cars.
