Miami Gardens, FL (April 2, 2021) - A woman suffered injuries after she was hit by a car at a shopping center in Miami Gardens. The crash took place on Thursday, April 1st on Northwest 2nd Avenue.
Police say that 64-year-old Joan Shiwgovind was walking at the shopping center when she was struck by an SUV that was traveling through the parking lot. The driver of the SUV then crashed into a building. Shiwgovind was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of knee, leg, and stomach injuries. There is no further update on her condition at this time. The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue assisted at the scene. The driver of the car has not been identified and there is no word on potential charges at this time.
