Our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to the family of Louise Gonzalez who lost her life in this tragic pedestrian crash in Middleburg.
Deadly pedestrian accidents are reported, on average, about twice daily in Florida. Pedestrian crashes must be thoroughly investigated by authorities who will seek to determine whether the driver or pedestrian was responsible for the crash. Police will look to see what measures could have been taken by the driver to avoid the accident and if the driver was otherwise negligent by failing to yield or by driving distracted, among other things.
