A minivan collision took place on Benjamin Road that left three people with severe injuries. The Tampa Police Department was called to the scene and found that it involved a minivan and a semi-truck.
At the time of the incident, a 46-year-old man was driving his minivan when he veered out of his lane for reasons that are still unknown. This caused his vehicle to collide head-on with a semi-truck. The semi-truck was operated by a 34-year-old man and driving in the opposite direction.
First aid was given to both victims. Those in the minivan, including the driver and two passengers, were severely injured and each party was taken to the hospital. The driver of the semi-truck only reported minor injuries and did not need to be transported to the hospital.
The accident is still being investigated.
