Mount Dora, FL (May 17, 2019) - Police in Mount Dora say that a man is dead following an early morning hit-and-run crash. The incident took place on Old Highway 441 around 5:00 am.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene after receiving reports of a body found by a passing citizen. After arriving, they pronounced the man dead. Police reported signs of trauma to the man's body, indicating that a hit-and-run had occurred. The deceased victim has not been identified at this time.
Officers have provided no further details regarding the incident nor have they said whether they have any information on a suspect at this time. No additional information is available at this time.
