Mulberry, FL (September 17, 2019) - A motorcycle was involved in a deadly crash with an SUV on Tuesday, September 17 in Mulberry. The accident took place on State Road 60 near Pine Grove Road around 5:55 a.m.
According to reports, 22-year-old Lance Strickland was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on SR 60. When Strickland came to the intersection with Pine Grove Road, an SUV turned into the intersection, causing the vehicle to collide with Strickland's bike. Strickland crashed into the front passenger door of the SUV. He was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident. The SUV driver, 54-year-old Amalia Casmiro, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the accident is still ongoing but no charges have been filed at this time.
