Naples, FL (November 28, 2019) - Two people are dead following a crash in Naples. The crash happened on Wednesday, November 27th along the stretch of Interstate 75 known as Alligator Alley.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly after the collision took place. According to troopers, at least two fatalities were reported while other crash victims were airlifted from the scene in a medical helicopter. There is no word on how the crash took place and the identities of the victims have not been released at this time. Authorities have also not said how many vehicles were involved.
No additional details are available at this time.
There are about eight deadly crashes in Florida each day. Fatal accidents have a variety of causes, including driver distraction, reckless driving, speeding, and other forms of negligent driving. Unfortunately, negligent drivers contribute to the daily loss of life and serious injuries that take place every day in our state. Police will continue to look into this crash to determine the cause and which driver was responsible.
