Naples, FL (February 4, 2020) - Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash that took place in Naples on Monday, February 3rd. The crash was reported around 7:20 p.m. on Vanderbilt Beach Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 71-year-old man identified as Gregory R. Chumbley was killed in the crash. Another person was seriously injured in the collision, and the driver of a third vehicle was not hurt. The crash took place near the north entrance to the TGM Bermuda Island Apartments. The crash caused the road to be shut down for several hours while police and rescue workers were on the scene. No additional details regarding the cause of the collision were available.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
