Hit-and-run accidents make up about 25 percent of all reported crashes in Florida. A hit-and-run accident frequently has devastating effects. Drivers who flee a crash scene typically do so because they have caused a catastrophic crash with serious injuries. These drivers can be held both civilly and criminally responsible for their actions both before and after the crash.
