Nokomis, FL (June 1, 2019) - A crash with injuries was reported on Thursday, May 30th. The crash took place in the northbound lanes of US-41 after 12:00 p.m.
Crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Citrus Avenue and North Tamiami Trail in reference to reports regarding the crash. When they arrived, they found that at least one the cars involved in the crash had struck a utility pole. Rescue workers arrived to treat those who were injured as a result of the crash. There is no further update regarding the condition of the injured victims at this time. There is also no word on what caused the crash to occur. The northbound lanes of US-41 were temporarily closed while police remained on scene to clear the wreckage and investigate the collision.
No additional details have been released at this time.
