Northwest Miami-Dade, FL (January 5, 2019) - A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash in Northwest Miami-Dade on Thursday, January 3rd. 56-year-old Jeffrey Christian was riding his motorcycle on Interstate 95 when he was hit from behind by a vehicle. Christian was thrown from his bike and landed in the roadway.
He suffered numerous injuries in the crash, including a broken shoulder, broken wrist, broken hip, and a broken pelvis. He remains hospitalized at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The driver who hit Christian fled the scene following the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident but has not released any details or information on the vehicle that collided with Christian's motorcycle. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
