Northwest Miami-Dade, FL (December 27, 2018) - A fiery crash in Northwest Miami-Dade left two people hospitalized. The crash happened around 2:00 am on Thursday, December 27th.
Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue were called to the intersection of Northwest 52nd Avenue and 175th Street in reference to the crash. When police arrived, they discovered a single vehicle crash. Following an investigation, officers determined that the driver of the vehicle lost control for unknown reasons, veered off the roadway and collided with a tree and a fence. After the collision, the vehicle caught fire and erupted into flames. Some nearby Good Samaritans ran to the site of the crash and assisted the driver and a passenger out of the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames.
The two people involved were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ryder Trauma Center, with serious injuries. There is no update on their condition at this time although they remained hospitalized as of Thursday. No additional information is available.
