Northwest Miami-Dade, FL (July 2, 2019) - A two-car crash on the Palmetto Expressway sent to people to the hospital. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 1st.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene in northbound lanes of the Expressway immediately following the crash. Two cars were involved in the accident. Paramedics were at the scene attempted to extricate the victims from their vehicles. There was also debris scattered across the roadway. The two injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Police have not said what caused the crash to occur.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
