Oakland Park, FL (June 27, 2019) - An overnight crash involving two cars left one person dead in Oakland Park. The crash happened just after midnight on Thursday, June 27th.
The Broward Sheriff's Office was called to the crash in the northbound lanes of Dixie Highway at East Commercial Street. Authorities say that two cars were involved in the serious crash. At least one person suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Debris, including car parts, were strewn about the roadway in the aftermath of the accident. Police were on the scene for several hours, until around 6:00 a.m., when the cars were towed away.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing. At this time, there is no word as to the cause of the collision and no information on the identities of those involved.
