Ocala, FL (May 1, 2021) - A 92-year-old woman lost her life and a 98-year-old man was injured following a two-vehicle collision Ocala on Saturday. The crash happened around noon on State Road 40 west near Interstate 75.
The Ocala Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to officers, Juanita Winfred Tyo, of Ocala, was killed when her car crashed into a Honda Accord at the intersection. Tyo's 98-year-old husband was seriously hurt in the accident. The driver of the Honda was not injured. Officials are still investigating the crash at this time to determine which driver had the right of way. There were no other vehicles involved.
An investigation is ongoing.
