Ocala, FL (November 17, 2019) - A man from Ocala suffered serious injuries after he was run over by an SUV on Saturday, November 16th. The crash happened in a parking near the Salvation Army building on Northwest First Avenue.
The Ocala Police Department was called to the scene following the incident. According to authorities, the unidentified man was lying in a patch of grass used as a parking area when he was run over by an Acura SUV. The SUV had been reported stolen on Friday and police detained the driver near the scene. The man was rushed to Ocala Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was listed in critical condition on Saturday.
Officers have not identified the driver at this time and charges are pending. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
