Ocala, FL (October 6, 2019) - A man suffered critical injuries when he was involved in a three-car crash that took place near Ocala on Saturday, October 5th. The accident occurred around noon on US 441.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two vehicles were traveling northbound on US 441 near the US 301 split. For reasons unknown, the vehicles came into contact and side-swiped each other. One of the vehicles ended up in the southbound lanes where it was struck by a semi-truck. The driver of that vehicle was entrapped and had to be extricated by rescue workers. The victim, an unidentified man, was rushed to Ocala Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. No one in the other vehicle was hurt.
Police were on the scene for several hours investigating the accident. At this time, there is no further information available.
