Ocala, FL (September 4, 2019) - A crash between three tractor-trailers took place in Ocala on Wednesday, September 4th. The incident occurred on I-75 near US 27.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened when one of the trucks collided with a tire in the roadway. The truck then pulled off the road to investigate the incident, when a second truck then came along and hit the same tire, colliding with the side of a third truck. The driver of the second truck was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. All of the trailers were empty at the time of the crash. The northbound lanes of I-75 were closed for a short period of time while police investigated the accident. No charges were filed.
