Ocala, FL (March 17, 2021) - Two people were killed in a car accident that took place on Ocala on Wednesday afternoon. The collision was reported on U.S. 27 near the Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club.
According to police, there were two cars involved in the crash. After the cars collided, one of them caught fire in a wooded area off the roadway. A man and a woman in that vehicle died at the accident scene. A third person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. The victims have not been identified at this time. There is no word on the cause of the collision.
An investigation is ongoing. No further information is available.
