Orange County, FL (September 27, 2019) - A 28-year-old Winter Springs man is dead following a four-vehicle crash that took place on Thursday, September 26th. The crash happened around 4:05 p.m. on Maitland Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ryne Powers was traveling eastbound on Maitland when three vehicles in front of him came to a stop at a traffic light. Powers collided with the back of one of the vehicles, setting off a chain reaction crash. Powers died of injuries suffered in the crash. There is no information on whether any other injuries occurred. The crash caused significant delays for drivers in the area while authorities were on the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
