Orlando, FL (February 7, 2019) - A 51-year-old motorist is dead after a crash in Orlando on Tuesday, February 5th. Police say that Lap Doan was driving an SUV on Colonial Drive near Constantine Street when he was involved in a three-vehicle crash that claimed his life.
The crash took place when a Ford Fusion traveling westbound on Colonial crossed the median and entered the eastbound lane. The Fusion collided with two eastbound vehicles, including Doan's SUV. Doan suffered critical injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Fusion and the other vehicle impacted sustained only minor injuries. There is no word on why the Fusion crossed over into the opposite lanes.
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into the crash and troopers report that charges are pending against the Fusion driver at this time.
