Orange County, FL (December 16, 2020) - One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Orange County on Tuesday night. The crash was reported around 11:40 p.m. on Landstreet Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a box truck was traveling westbound on Landstreet when the driver turned left in front of an oncoming car. The car spun around and then struck a semi-truck. The driver of the car was critically hurt and was transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Police have not identified the deceased victim at this time. There were no reports of other injuries in connection with the crash.
An investigation is active at this time.
Car accidents in Florida are reported about once every 92 seconds. While no one ever expects to be involved in a crash, it can take place at any time. Drivers must constantly be alert while on the roadway in an effort to avoid a crash and to minimize their risks of death or serious injuries.
