Orange County, FL (September 9, 2019) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a head-on crash in Orange County on Monday, September 9th. The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. on Lake Pickett Road near Tanner Road.
According to reports, 56-year-old Sergio Torres was traveling eastbound on Lake Pickett when he crossed the center line. Torres's Dodge Charger collided head-on with a pickup truck traveling the opposite direction. Torres died at the scene. The driver of the truck, 43-year-old Debra Fleming sustained serious injuries and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Police have not released any further details at this time.
