Orange County, FL (October 3, 2018) - A man is dead at two others injured following a crash on Silver Star Road in Orange County. The crash occurred around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 54-year-old Abdelatif Chentouf was traveling in a GMC truck. Chentouf attempted to turn left from Silver Star onto Sheringham Road. Instead, he collided with a two-door Pontiac driven by 22-year-old Johnny Moore.
Moore suffered critical injuries in the crash. Moore's passenger, 22-year-old Eric Winspare, died at a local hospital. There is no word on the extent of injuries, if any, for Chentouf. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash with the driver sustaining minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate this accident.
A reportable car accident happens approximately every 92 seconds in Florida. Well more than half of all car accidents involve some type of injury to those affected.
